Fantasy Landscape -- My collage in progress

Within my first digital media collage I'm focusing on an organized and color appropriate aesthetic. I will organize my landscape to make a sunset over ocean waves. Having an organized and color appropriate aesthetic I will be able to rearrange images with different patterns and the same color in the same area. For example I will have shades and patterns of blue in the water and different shades of orange and yellow for the sunset. I am inspired by the motion of water and the colors that the sun makes while it is setting. Thinking about the ocean reminds me of a relaxed day spend on the beach leaving a smile on my face because he beach is my happy place. Recently I have also been able to watch the sunset on the docks at our schools river center. I have also been very involved with my Pinterest allowing me to see other collages that use similar colors with patterns on them blending them into each other creating landscapes. Pinterest is inspiring me to find patterns throughout my house to scan and fill my computer screen with.

Throughout high school and my college career I have been using Windows instead of Mac. Although working on a Mac makes the process go slower because I'm not familiar with it, those are the only technical difficulties I am having but I do have a few questions.

How can I save my images on photoshop instead on a jpeg?

Do all my images have to be the same pixels before I collage them together?

If I work on my collage on my laptop will it change any sizing or pixels?

After having am in class demonstration on how to scan images I can now scan all the objects and materials I need. Within his collage I am going to be using pictures of water and sky that I have taken. I will also be adding in scanned images of clothing patterns I wear and postcards I have collected. I will be using jewelry, bathing suits, shorts, socks, shirts, towels and postcards for the majority of my patters. I think that these images will relate to my aesthetic because the placement of my images with be organized by the appropriate colors.
